By Car:
Niagara Falls is easily reached by car using major highways, and is approximately a one hour drive from Buffalo and one and a half from Toronto. On the Canadian side, the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) is the major route from Toronto. Note that the QEW is a major commuter route, with heavy traffic going into Toronto until a little after 9 am, and heavy traffic coming out of the city 3-7 pm. (Traffic can also be heavy going into Toronto when there's a Toronto Blue Jays home game or other major event.). On the American side, I-190 connects Buffalo to Niagara Falls. Buffalo can be reached by I-90. Online mapping sites such as Google Maps and MapQuest can be used to get directions and estimated driving times.
